Boooo... Frowny face:(

I can't write much because I'm on my phone, but my platelets are not high enough. Chemos a no go. :( We'll try again Monday.

I'm so sad for you that your platelets didn't boost high enough. I'll keep praying for good numbers by monday. I love you as always.

Hillary 2.0

I know this seems like a weird title, but let me explain. 11 years ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, I have always referred to it as the best thing that ever happened to her. I saw so many changes in her life, and all for the better. She came out of it such an amazing woman, and one that I hope to imitate in sincerity of heart, and quiet diligence. On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, I too was diagnosed with cancer. I see this as my time that the Lord is going to use to refine me, and turn me into a more beautiful person as He did her. It will be gnarly and not fun on many occasions I'm sure. But through it all, I look forward to becoming Hillary 2.0.

This blog was originally to help keep everyone informed on what is going on medically, as well as probably a few of my own thoughts, during this "updating" process. I have since finished with surgeries, finished with chemo, and have had a clean bill of health. But I realized, Hillary 2.0 is not something that is completed. The Lord is still working on me. This is now just a few ramblings of mine, a frail but fiesty child of God, trying to navigate this broken world, and hopefully share some insights about what God is teaching me as I struggle along that journey.
